Rieter - Customer Case Study

Rieter, a Swiss industrial group with more than 5,000 employees across 16 manufacturing plants in 10 countries, faced scattered media assets, duplicate and outdated files, slow or failed searches, and inconsistent use of images and documents. To address these issues Rieter selected Picturepark’s digital asset management solution in 2006 to provide a browser- and cloud-based system that met requirements for global accessibility, format delivery, tagging and easy reuse.

Picturepark was deployed as a centralized DAM and integrated with Rieter’s IBM Domino LDAP for user management and later with the Typo3 CMS for web publishing. The implementation gave employees 24/7 access from 40+ locations with role-based permissions, reduced duplicate and erroneous usage, and “substantially” decreased search time—freeing marketing staff from routine picture searches. Rieter has used Picturepark since 2006 (celebrating ten years in 2016), and even the spun-off Autoneum purchased its own Picturepark license.
