LIECHTENSTEIN The Princely Collections Museum - Customer Case Study

LIECHTENSTEIN The Princely Collections Museum, home to a five‑century private art collection with more than 10 terabytes of photographed and tagged assets, needed to bridge its physical holdings (managed in Zetcom MuseumPlus) with a digital library without duplicate data entry, while enabling remote access, image retouching and multi‑resolution delivery. After evaluating options, the museum selected Picturepark digital asset management software.

Picturepark implemented a standards‑based DAM that synchronizes bi‑directionally with MuseumPlus so users can search and browse a digital taxonomy that mirrors the physical collection, view real‑time previews, tag in either system, retouch images, generate multiple resolutions and deliver watermarked derivatives for public access. As a result, Picturepark eliminated duplicate workflows, greatly reduced the time required for management and search, secured original and print‑resolution images, and delivered global, efficient access to the museum’s extensive digital collection.
