HEKS - Customer Case Study

HEKS, the aid organisation of the Swiss Protestant Churches, needed a way to manage a large, growing, project-oriented content archive while protecting sensitive material and supporting multilingual, often offline workflows across many countries. To solve this, HEKS engaged Picturepark and adopted the Picturepark Content Platform to bring order, secure access control and clearer content governance to its communications, publications and donor reporting.

Picturepark delivered a centralized, API-first Content Platform with semantic relationships, smart tags, advanced filtering, granular permissions and share functionality, enabling HEKS to ingest content from varied sources (even USBs when connectivity failed), control access to sensitive items and deliver project-specific assets to sponsors and journalists. The implementation now supports a 30,000+ asset archive, improved, more intuitive search since the summer 2020 migration, multilingual handling and tighter content governance—helping HEKS maintain transparency (95% donor perception of transparency) and more efficient content distribution.
