A Pico MES Case Study
MORryde, a manufacturer of suspension systems and aftermarket products for the RV industry, was struggling with a recurring driveline quality issue on its assembly line. The problem stemmed from complex, poorly documented processes that relied on tribal knowledge, which led to fastener torque errors when new technicians were onboarded. After exploring multiple options, the company selected the Pico MES platform to address this specific challenge and connect its shop floor.
Pico MES provided a solution by integrating with torque-controlled tooling to guide operators, validate the correct torque on each fastener, and store the data. The system also delivered visual, step-by-step work instructions that simplified complex processes for all technicians. The implementation of Pico MES was rapid, and the results were significant: MORryde digitized over 500 processes, connected more than 20 workstations, recovered 50-75% of lost setup time, and achieved a 50% increase in production output, resulting in a payback period measured in months.
