Yamaton Paper boosts palletizing speed to 24 m/min with Piab

Yamaton Paper GmbH, a leader in paper honeycomb processing, faced the challenge of optimizing its labor-intensive production process for sensitive, recycled materials while increasing efficiency and ensuring ecological sustainability. To tackle this, they collaborated with Piab and the integrator b-automated to implement an innovative vacuum technology solution.

Piab's solution involved installing a robot equipped with 70 piGRIP® FLIW foam suction cups and 10 piPUMPs for efficient palletizing. This automation from Piab significantly reduced labor needs, increased production capacity, and achieved pick-and-place times of under 10 seconds. The company was able to increase production speed to 24 m/min without compromising quality, exceeding their production goals and strengthening their process optimization strategy.
