SAR saves 50% on air costs with Piab

SAR, a robot integrator, was using compressed air driven vacuum pumps and contacted Piab to find solutions for reducing air usage and avoiding pressure drops. Their challenge was to improve the efficiency of their robotic system while maintaining performance.

Piab implemented its piCOMPACT®10X pumps with COAX® Cartridge technology, which have a small footprint and operate at a lower air pressure. This solution allowed the customer to install more units without using additional space. As a result, SAR achieved a 50% savings on air costs, experienced faster cycle times for increased production, and benefited from reduced installation time and lower noise levels.
