The leading British sugar manufacturer faced a challenge modernizing its granulated sugar production line, aiming to move away from a complex system and significantly reduce pallet building time. The company Piab was engaged to provide a solution using its Kenos foam gripper head.

Piab implemented its Kenos gripper with integrated COAX vacuum technology, which provided a simple end-of-arm tooling solution. This allowed the customer to pick multiple boxes of various sizes and weights, as well as the paper interlayer, with a single gripper. The result was a doubling of the palletizing efficiency, a simplified design, and reduced downtime for the customer.
