How Phunware is Helping One of The Largest Hospital Systems in the U.S.

Dignity Health, the fifth-largest U.S. hospital system and the largest nonprofit provider in California with 39 hospitals and ancillary facilities across 21 states (approximately 15 million ft²), needed a mobile wayfinding and patient-experience solution that could maintain corporate branding while accommodating the unique layouts and needs of each facility.

Phunware delivered Dignity Health Compass, a white‑labeled, fully branded wayfinding app offering static indoor/outdoor maps, personalized routing, searchable points of interest, physician/department directories with tap-to-call, and cloud-based map management; sites can add Bluetooth beacons and other integrations as needed. After a successful pilot, the app is live at all 39 Dignity Health locations, improving navigation for patients and visitors and giving administrators easy map updates plus analytics and messaging capabilities.
