Brickell City Centre, a $1 billion, nine-acre mixed-use development in Miami developed by Swire Properties, needed a mobile solution to serve diverse stakeholders—residents, office workers, shoppers, retailers and property managers—across expansive retail, residential, hotel and office space. Phunware delivered a white-labeled Multiscreen-as-a-Service app that combined Mist virtual beacons for 1–3 meter accuracy and sub-second latency with features for residents, staff, shoppers and retail management—parking assistance, turn-by-turn navigation, booking and concierge services, marketing automation and operational reporting. The result was a sleek, flexible app that met Swire’s objectives in one platform, eliminated beacon hardware headaches and reduced typical beacon costs by up to 90%, while streamlining communications, operations and user experience across the property.
