A PhotoShelter for Brands Case Study
Franklin & Marshall College moved video production in-house after years of relying on costly outside firms, hiring their first full-time producer, Alexander Monelli, to scale storytelling and better meet rising requests for recruitment, alumni engagement and fundraising content. The challenge was to create authentic, repeatable video that could be produced efficiently, distributed widely, and support the college’s marketing goals without breaking the budget.
Monelli developed a distinctive, documentary-style approach—lean, unscripted interviews, purposeful aerials, live streaming and eye-catching thumbnails—and built a workflow using Libris by PhotoShelter to store and share high-quality assets. The result: video demand surged, the team grew (a second videographer and external partners were added), audience engagement and shares increased, and the college saw a stronger public image and a rise in applications (from ~5,000 to ~7,000), all with more efficient distribution and better ROI.
