A PhotoShelter for Brands Case Study

Preview of the University of Tennessee Case Study

University of Tennessee - Customer Case Study

University of Tennessee Athletics’ Vol Photos, run by head athletics photographer Donald Page, noticed strong fan demand to buy and display game and campus images. NCAA rules prevented outside vendors from selling team photos, so the department needed an NCAA‑compliant platform and a way to manage a growing library of visual assets (about 100,000 images).

They implemented Libris by PhotoShelter as both a digital asset management system and an official Vol Photo Store. Launched via social media, the store—especially vintage and campus images—quickly built a following, generated revenue to offset asset-management costs, strengthened the brand, and required only a small amount of extra work from the photo team.
