How the Chiefs Photographer Manages Content for NFL’s Biggest Game

The Kansas City Chiefs’ photo team faced the challenge of capturing and sharing massive volumes of game-day and Super Bowl content in real time, while coordinating among photographers, editors, social, graphics, and player stakeholders. They needed a faster, more centralized workflow to manage thousands of images, keep assets organized, and deliver content instantly during high-pressure events using PhotoShelter for Brands.

PhotoShelter for Brands implemented a wireless FTP workflow into its DAM library, along with Public Portal access and content distribution tools, so images could be transmitted, edited, and shared immediately across the organization and to players. The result was a streamlined workflow that let the Chiefs process around 2,200 images from the AFC Championship and expected roughly 3,000 in-game selects for the Super Bowl, while about 100 images were posted to social during a typical game day.
