A PhotoShelter for Brands Case Study
The Big 12 Conference had amassed more than 70,000 photos over two decades—student‑athletes, coaches, events and championships—but storing them on internal servers made it slow and cumbersome to deliver time‑sensitive images to websites, social channels and member schools. Reliance on manual transfers (CDs/DVDs) and limited searchability created a bottleneck for timely sharing during events and championships.
By partnering with PhotoShelter’s Libris digital asset management system, the Big 12 moved its library to a cloud platform where every photo is tagged and easily searchable. Photographers upload and tag images directly, member schools log in to find and share content instantly, server load is reduced, and photographers and staff report faster, more efficient workflows—enabling the conference to meet the immediate demands of fans, colleges and reporters.
