A PhotoShelter for Brands Case Study

Preview of the Professional Bull Riders, Inc. Case Study

25 Years Shooting the Most Dangerous 8 Seconds in Sports

Professional Bull Riders (PBR), through longtime official photographer Andy Watson and archive manager Jacey Watson, faced the challenge of managing a 1.5 million–image library created across 40+ events a year while needing rapid access for social, media and marketing teams. The organization needed a way to edit, tag and distribute large volumes of photos quickly to dozens of stakeholders so moments could be published in real time and reused for big campaigns like their 25th anniversary.

Using Libris by PhotoShelter, Jacey crops, edits and tags images and makes them available to roughly 150 users, moving 5–7,000 photos through the system every quarter. The streamlined workflow lets teams post instant social shots, supply sponsors, populate websites and produce large-scale advertising, amplifying PBR’s reach, driving fan engagement and helping grow the sport.
