National Association of Broadcasters sends 337K messages to Congress with Phone2Action

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) faced a challenge when automakers proposed removing AM radio from new vehicles, which would threaten a key medium for local news and emergency communications. To combat this, NAB used the Phone2Action platform to launch a grassroots advocacy campaign urging its members to contact Congress.

Using Phone2Action, NAB mobilized its network of broadcasters to send messages to lawmakers via email, text, and social media. The campaign generated 337,000 emails and 39,000 tweets to Congress, successfully growing its advocate list from 130,000 to over 300,000. This massive outreach led to the introduction of the bipartisan AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act, demonstrating the powerful results achieved with Phone2Action.
