YPO, the UK’s largest public sector buying organisation, needed to modernise its IT infrastructure to support planned growth and build a stronger foundation for future expansion. Phoenix Software worked with YPO to develop a business case and design a more resilient, scalable environment using Microsoft servers, VMware virtualisation and management tools, and NetApp storage.

Phoenix Software implemented five Microsoft servers running VMware vSphere, two NetApp SANs, VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager, and vCenter Operations Management Suite. The new platform improved capacity, flexibility, resilience and disaster recovery, while also reducing electricity and cooling costs and enabling faster deployment of new services. The project was delivered on time and on budget, giving YPO IT infrastructure to support growth over the next five to ten years.
