Vale of Glamorgan Council, working with Phoenix Software, needed to modernise its services and ensure ICT supported rather than hindered its digital strategy. As the top performing council in Wales, it faced pressure to reduce costs while continuing to deliver high-quality public services, improve staff productivity, and support a more digitally aware workforce. Microsoft 365 was the key platform used to help address these challenges.
Phoenix Software helped the council implement Microsoft 365 across Teams, Office 365, Surface devices, data, and AI to enable a more digital workforce, improve real-time access to information, and support both remote and office-based staff. The project also improved accessibility for staff with additional needs, reduced external translation costs between Welsh and English, and included training and change management support to help the council continue its digital transformation.
