Sentinel Housing Association, a housing provider managing 10,000 homes across the South East of England, turned to Phoenix Software as its Microsoft Enterprise Agreement was due for renewal. Its main challenge was avoiding further Microsoft price increases while keeping the flexibility to support a future move to Office 365 and Azure, all without being locked into an inflexible long-term licensing model.

Phoenix Software recommended switching to an Enterprise Subscription Agreement and using the Public Sector Cloud Transformation Agreement for better pricing. The new setup combined 275 on-premise Microsoft Office Pro Plus agreements with 100 Office 365 E3 licences, delivering a seamless transition and around a 55% reduction in software costs. Phoenix Software also helped Sentinel meet CTA requirements and keep its cloud options open for a gradual move to hybrid or cloud-based working.
