YPO, one of the UK’s largest public sector buying organisations, needed to refresh its ageing IT infrastructure and decide whether to continue investing in its on-premises hybrid environment or move fully to the cloud. Phoenix Software carried out a Cloud Readiness Assessment to evaluate YPO’s applications and infrastructure, while also helping the organisation address goals around resilience, security, reduced management overhead, and future growth.

Phoenix Software recommended a single-vendor, high-performance virtualised on-premises design built on Dell servers, Dell 10Gb switches, VMware vSphere, and an all-flash SAN. The new platform was deployed in phased two-week sprints to avoid disruption, delivering a more scalable, secure and resilient IT estate with proven disaster recovery, lower management effort, and a clearer roadmap for future cloud adoption.
