New College Swindon worked with Phoenix Software to address two growing issues: giving every student access to Microsoft Office without charge under Microsoft’s educational licensing, and coping with rapidly rising storage demand driven by increasing use of HD and future 4K video in multimedia courses.

Phoenix Software implemented the campus-wide Microsoft Office 365 Student Advantage licence, giving students Office 365 ProPlus, 1TB of cloud storage, cloud email and calendar, and support for BYOD. The college reduced on-premise email and storage pressure, avoided an immediate storage upgrade, eliminated software compatibility issues, and improved productivity across staff and students.
