Cats Protection places cats in homes faster, with speedy, contact-free adoptions using Adobe Sign

Cats Protection, the UK’s largest feline welfare charity, needed to keep adoptions moving during COVID-19 even though its centres were closed to the public. To reduce paper, speed up paperwork, and support remote collaboration across 37 adoption centres and volunteer-run branches, the charity worked with Phoenix Software and used Adobe Sign for its adoption process.

Phoenix Software helped Cats Protection roll out Adobe Sign quickly, starting with a pilot in April 2020 and expanding to all 37 centres within five months. Adoption documents that once took two weeks to finalise were completed in an average of 2.5 hours, and Cats Protection placed more than 9,000 cats in homes in the first 10 months of 2020, with over 5,000 adoptions handled through the new process. The change also improved compliance, reduced administrative burden, and helped keep return rates low by supporting better matches between cats and families.
