A Phished Case Study

Royal Mencap makes their technology inexperienced employees cyber resilient

Royal Mencap, a UK charity supporting people with learning disabilities, needed to strengthen cybersecurity awareness across a large, ever-changing workforce of employees and volunteers. Because many staff were digitally inexperienced and handled sensitive information and money, the organization wanted a better way to help people recognize phishing and respond safely. Phished was chosen to provide ongoing security awareness training and phishing simulations.

Phished replaced Royal Mencap’s traditional seminars and lunch sessions with continuous micro trainings and realistic phishing tests. The approach helped the charity improve behavior significantly: the initial test caught over 200 employees, but later tests dropped to fewer than 10 clicks out of around 6,000 people. Royal Mencap said Phished delivered the right cost-effective investment and made its workforce far more cyber resilient.
