United Nations - Customer Case Study

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) faced significant challenges with its Humanitarian Programme Cycle (HPC) toolset, including inefficient crisis tracking, outdated systems for managing funds, and a lack of cohesive digital workflows for planning and monitoring. Partnering with Phase2, OCHA sought to build a modern, interconnected suite of digital tools to bring transparency and efficiency to its global humanitarian response efforts.

Phase2 designed and implemented a sophisticated ecosystem of applications for OCHA, including a restructured Financial Tracking Service to manage over $20B in funds and the ReliefWeb API to provide open access to critical disaster data. They also developed the groundbreaking Humanitarian.ID contact management app to improve coordination and safety for responders in the field. This comprehensive digital transformation by Phase2 enabled OCHA to streamline operations, manage vast amounts of data effectively, and ultimately accelerate the delivery of aid to those in need during crises.
