Northwell Health, the largest health system in New York, wanted to modernize and scale its digital patient experience to meet rising consumer expectations for convenient, personalized, and seamless healthcare access. To tackle this multi-year challenge, Northwell Health partnered with Phase2 Technology to reimagine its digital patient experience across web and mobile, anchored by its flagship website and a new app.

Phase2 Technology delivered a design system, digital style guide, UX research and roadmap, improved provider search through a middleware data management layer, and redesigned billing and mobile experiences with layered identity verification and secure single sign-on. The results included more than 20,000 app downloads, 60,000 registered dPx users, 80,000 hours of staff time saved, 8.5 minutes saved per digital billing transaction, and a 5x reduction in content creation costs.
