The customer, a social dating app with millions of users, faced a challenge maintaining quality across its Android, iOS, and web platforms while pushing bi-weekly releases. With only manual testing, the development team at the social dating app could not keep up with the high rate of changes and A/B testing. They engaged vendor PFLB to help build a native automated UI testing solution.

PFLB implemented a test automation framework using Espresso for Android and XCUITest for iOS. To overcome challenges with integrating tests into the CI pipeline, PFLB developed a Test Orchestrator tool. This solution allowed for tests to be easily disabled without code changes and included a quarantine feature to eliminate flakiness.
