The largest commercial bank faced a significant challenge in automating regression testing for its core banking system, as frequent regulatory updates required rapid deployment. The complexity of the system and a lack of comprehensive documentation made automation difficult, leading to increasing costs and delays. The vendor, PFLB, was engaged to overcome these obstacles and automate the testing process.

PFLB developed a solution using a custom framework built on Winium and JUnit, which integrated their proprietary SATBIS library to handle the unique UI. The solution employed both UI and API-level tests to optimize execution time. This approach successfully reduced regression testing time and costs for the bank while significantly increasing test coverage. The results included the creation of a test automation center of excellence and provided a foundation for the bank to independently expand its automated test model.
