Case Study: European Fisheries Control Agency (EFCA) achieves secure, interoperable video collaboration with Pexip

Pexip's interoperability solutions enable the EFCA to meet securely on video across distances

EFCA, the European Fisheries Control Agency (~100 employees), needed a secure, flexible way to run video meetings across wide geographic areas and high-security environments while maintaining interoperability with Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams and other services — a requirement that became urgent when video use in their Office 365 environment spiked 700% during the Covid-19 pandemic. To address this, EFCA selected Pexip and its Pexip Infinity self-hosted infrastructure plus Pexip for Microsoft interoperability to preserve existing workflows and meet strict data-protection needs.

Pexip implemented a self-hosted Infinity gateway and clientless WebRTC integrations, enabling seamless connections to Teams, Skype for Business and other endpoints while keeping data on-premises for GDPR compliance. The solution was deployed in days, delivered high-quality audio/video, scaled to increased demand during the pandemic, improved collaboration and workflows, and provided fast vendor support (issues often resolved within the hour), helping EFCA maintain business continuity.
