Case Study: Unit achieves seamless hybrid, cross‑platform video meetings with Pexip's CVI and One‑Touch Join

Unit, the Directorate for ICT and joint services in higher education and research supporting 220 institutions in Norway (about 200 employees), faced a sudden shift to remote work due to COVID-19 and needed a smoother way to communicate with stakeholders regardless of location or meeting platform. To address this, Unit turned to Pexip, deploying Pexip Service features including Cloud Video Interop (CVI) for Microsoft Teams and One‑Touch Join to bridge existing room systems with Teams, Zoom and other platforms.

Pexip implemented CVI and One‑Touch Join integrated with Unit’s calendar and existing meeting room technology, enabling one‑tap joining and native joining of Teams meetings from room systems. The result for Unit was simpler, user‑friendly meetings from home or office, seamless cross‑platform collaboration with external partners, and a strong transition to a hybrid workforce—allowing employees to keep using the digital meeting tools they know while improving reliability and accessibility.
