How Paulding County, GA’s detention facilities streamlined remote court proceedings

Paulding County Sheriff's Office in Paulding County, GA faced the need to improve efficiency, streamline workflows for detention staff and judges, and boost facility safety—challenges amplified by COVID-19. To meet these needs the Sheriff's Office, working with AVI‑SPL, chose Pexip and deployed Pexip Infinity (self-hosted) as its video conferencing platform to enable secure, remote court proceedings and other pod-based interactions.

Using Pexip Infinity across the magistrate courtroom, visitors center, medical services, bookings, and each of the facility’s 12 pods, the vendor’s solution eliminated many inmate transfers, saved staff time, and improved security and health protections; Paulding reports no COVID-19 outbreaks in the detention facility since implementation. Pexip’s scalable, on-premise platform also opened new remote service possibilities (virtual visitation, religious services, rehab/education) while maintaining data control and courtroom integration.
