How New Mexico Supreme Court enabled virtual hearings with Pexip

The New Mexico Supreme Court needed to rapidly adapt to remote hearings during the COVID‑19 pandemic and sought a flexible, multi‑platform cloud solution to bridge different participant technologies — Google Workspace, Microsoft products, Zoom and aging Polycom endpoints — while working under tight budget constraints. They selected Pexip and deployed Pexip Interoperability for Google Workspace to maintain their existing Google Meet workflows and connect disparate systems.

Pexip enabled cross‑platform video sessions so judges can launch hearings via Google Meet or Zoom and include lawyers, defendants, prison inmates and expert witnesses without costly hardware upgrades. The court reports broad judge adoption, a clear cost advantage over continuing to invest in legacy Polycom systems (avoiding millions in equipment), and a foundation to improve evidence sharing, transparency and future video‑based court processes; Pexip remains the bridge driving these gains.
