The Bundesagentur für Arbeit (Federal Employment Agency) faced an urgent need to maintain citizen consultations when COVID‑19 restrictions closed offices, requiring a highly secure, GDPR‑compliant and scalable video channel that customers could access with minimal effort. To meet those requirements the agency selected Pexip and its Pexip Infinity self‑hosted, on‑premise platform as the certified video gateway, alongside a custom web app and booking system developed with Voigtmann GmbH.

Using Pexip Infinity integrated with the agency’s Skype for Business environment, the "My Video Appointment" service launched in October 2020 and enabled secure video, chat, audio and document collaboration across devices without plugins. Pexip’s on‑premise deployment preserved full data control while supporting rapid scale: over 1,000 locations connected, ~60,000 video appointments, 3 million call minutes and a 95% customer recommendation rate (figures as of July 2021), with users reaching appointments in just three clicks.
