White Horse Missions, a missionary organization supporting indigenous pastors and churches across Central America, struggled with managing large amounts of cash and stacks of paper receipts for teams of 10–12 people. To replace risky cash handling and simplify expense tracking, they partnered with PEX and adopted PEX’s receipt-capture app along with PEX Visa® Commercial Cards and the PEX Credit Expense option.

PEX implemented card-based spending and nightly receipt photo capture so team leaders upload receipts each evening and Lee Barnett, Director of Finance, can approve transactions the next morning. As a result, reconciliation is completed in real time—“there’s nothing to reconcile” when teams return—vendors accept the PEX Visa® Commercial Cards more readily than prepaid cards, cash wiring and on-hand cash have been drastically reduced, and weekly card payments via PEX Credit Expense make budgeting and cash flow easier.
