The Rock - Customer Case Study

The Rock, a church of more than 1,500 parishioners, struggled with petty cash shortages, lost receipts, occasional overspending by volunteers and staff, and difficulty tracking spending across multiple projects and grants. To address these issues, The Rock implemented PEX, using PEX Cards, the PEX mobile app, and integration with their General Ledger.

PEX issued prepaid PEX Cards to volunteers with preset spending rules and mobile receipt submission, while administrators can set limits or instantly fund cards as needed; purchases are allocated to GL codes in real time. By using PEX, The Rock reduced lost receipts and overspending, streamlined project and grant tracking, and minimized administrative headaches so staff and volunteers could focus more on community impact.
