Papillion Foundation, led by Executive Director Joe Hunter, is a small community organization managing events, fundraising and back-office tasks with a staff of one and a half. Joe struggled to reconcile receipts and control spending across multiple bank cards and petty cash—creating time sinks and security concerns—so the foundation adopted PEX cards and the PEX/Aplos integration to simplify expense management.

PEX implemented prepaid cards with receipt capture and accounting integration, allowing Papillion to go paperless, link receipts to transactions, set spending controls, and manage funding in real time. The result was immediate: the cards were in use the same week, eliminated tracking “hundreds of receipts” each week, streamlined reconciliation, and restored time and oversight for Joe to focus on the foundation’s mission—while PEX’s controls improved security and administrative flexibility.
