Merrimack Valley Dream Center, led by Executive Director Julio Meran, faced a purchasing bottleneck for its team of 60 volunteers because only one debit card was linked to the business account. That constraint made reordering supplies, budgeting, and allocating program funds take more than 12 hours each week. To solve this, MVDC implemented PEX and deployed PEX cards to give individual spend control.
PEX’s solution—physical and mobile PEX cards with receipt capture, notes and tagging at point of purchase, plus easy-to-read dashboards and simplified reporting—streamlined approvals and bookkeeping and improved transparency for the Board. According to MVDC leadership, the cards have worked perfectly, cutting the administrative load substantially and making spend management far easier thanks to PEX’s reporting and mobile tools.
