Dogtree Pines Senior Dog Sanctuary, a volunteer-driven non-profit caring for large senior dogs, struggled as donations and volunteer activity grew: the founder was using personal accounts for Sanctuary expenses and volunteers often paid out-of-pocket, creating a heavy reimbursement and reconciliation burden.
