Ashoka, a global nonprofit led by social entrepreneurs, struggled with slow credit-card approvals, time-consuming expense tracking, and the need to quickly get spending power to staff and programs. To simplify spend management and free directors to focus on mission work, Ashoka chose PEX to issue controlled cards and manage expenses.
PEX implemented a card-based spend platform with configurable spending limits, a mobile app for capturing receipts and expense codes, and instant allocation to cost centers and grants; administrators can fund cards and change rules in real time. As a result, PEX eliminated approval bottlenecks, sharply reduced the time staff spend recording expenses, and delivered faster, more transparent access to funds for Ashoka’s programs.
