Nintendo sells 1.3M+ units with PETROL Advertising

The customer, Nintendo, faced the challenge of reigniting excitement around the historic rivalry between Mario and Sonic for their new game, *Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020*. They partnered with vendor PETROL Advertising to develop a comprehensive campaign that would span AV trailers, key art, and event marketing to engage a global, all-ages audience and bring the magic of the Olympic Games to life.

PETROL Advertising developed a blended creative solution using live-action and in-game footage, including a trailer set in an airport to mirror the global Olympic spirit. Their key art and event marketing, including a prominent activation at E3, solidified the game's broad appeal. This approach delivered significant results for Nintendo, including the game becoming the #3 best-selling title in the franchise's history with over 1.3 million units sold and generating more than $85 million in revenue.
