How Petal Booking improves access to medical clinics

Clinique Saint Louis was struggling with critical access issues — jammed phone lines, long morning lineups and difficulty scheduling walk-ins — so management chose to integrate PetalMD’s Petal Booking solution into its website and electronic medical record to give patients an online way to book appointments.

PetalMD implemented the Petal Booking online portal, automated SMS/email/phone reminders, EMR calendar sync and a patient communications kit, plus walk-in scheduling configuration. The clinic now handles about 2,500 online bookings per month (≈40% of appointments), freed roughly 112 hours a month from phone work (with up to 288 hours claimed across reminders and online booking), saw missed appointments drop as much as 75% for some physicians, and recovered an estimated $6,800 per physician per year, while significantly shortening wait times.
