The Association of Government Accountants (AGA), which runs three major annual events for government finance professionals, wanted to better integrate technology to streamline onsite operations. AGA’s goals included simplifying speaker and session searches, boosting attendee engagement, collecting real-time feedback and minimizing staff work at events.
Working with Personify’s A2Z Events, AGA launched a branded mobile app with pre-conference marketing, personalized agendas, session search, live polling, audience Q&A and session evaluations. Adoption exceeded 75% (76% at one conference), 92% of respondents were satisfied and found the app easy to use, 83% used it for Q&A and 81% preferred it to a printed directory—improving engagement, reducing onsite workload and delivering measurable ROI through higher attendee satisfaction and likely repeat attendance.
