Brex needed to verify customers for its new Brex Cash product to meet KYC/AML requirements and prevent fraud while preserving a conversion‑optimized onboarding flow. To solve this, Brex selected Persona’s Government ID verification to automate identity checks for both existing Brex Card users and new business customers across international IDs.
Persona implemented an embedded, automated ID verification flow—extracting data from government IDs, performing real‑time account matching and selfie checks, and supporting broad international coverage (over 100 countries, with Persona’s platform covering 192 countries). The result: processing under 10 seconds (end‑to‑end ~30 seconds), >90% completion rates, reduced fraud risk, standardized global ID inspection, and a scalable verification pipeline that preserved Brex’s conversion rates.
