YouGenomics brings genomics data analysis to labs without bioinformatics resources

The customer, YouGenomics, faced a challenge in the genomics field where many research labs and hospitals lacked the internal computational resources and bioinformatics expertise to process and interpret large-scale omics data. YouGenomics partnered with Persistent Systems (through its acquisition of MediaAgility) and leveraged the Google Cloud Platform, specifically Google Genomics and BigQuery, to build a scalable analytical platform.

Persistent Systems developed a solution on Google Cloud that automated next-generation sequencing data analysis, drastically reducing turnaround times and eliminating the need for heavy infrastructure investment. This provided YouGenomics with robust, secure, and globally accessible data-processing pipelines. The results included lightning-fast query performance for clients and virtually unlimited scalability, allowing YouGenomics to efficiently serve labs worldwide without needing dedicated staff to manage the cloud platform.
