Persistent Systems helped the world’s leading cosmetics manufacturing company, a global leader in cosmetics, skincare, and beauty products, manage a highly complex product information environment. With 640,000 SKUs, 429,000 active products, more than 470 attributes per item, and data spread across 17 SAP hubs and multiple market supply logs, the company needed a way to keep product data accurate, consistent, and up to date across its global operations. Persistent Systems implemented IBM Product Master to address this challenge.

With IBM Product Master, Persistent Systems enabled a “publish locally, update globally” model that synchronized product information in real time across 17 SAP instances. The platform improved data quality, reduced operational interruptions and errors, and supported more than 300 validation rules used by over 600 employees. The results included 33.6% year-over-year e-commerce growth, e-commerce reaching 8% of global sales, and the channel becoming the company’s third largest “country” after the United States and China.
