A Persistent Systems Case Study
Persistent Systems helped a large trade credit insurance company that operates in more than 50 countries and manages credit information on over 240 million companies worldwide. The company’s Azure environment had poor cloud hygiene, with non-production resources running around the clock, costly storage growth from overloaded SQL database logs, duplicated bastion hosts and jump boxes, and no clear strategy for consolidating licensing and infrastructure costs.
Persistent Systems sanitized the client’s Azure landscape by introducing a hybrid benefit plan, centralized bastion and jump box access, automated resource spin-up and shutdown, deleted orphaned resources, used reserved instances, optimized logging, and enabled single-click infrastructure provisioning. The result was a 49% Azure server licensing discount, lower cloud spend through right-sized resources, and faster provisioning times cut from three days to four hours.
