Persistent Systems worked with Global Aerospace Manufacturer, a leading defense contractor serving 40+ countries across helicopter, military, and commercial applications, to improve collaboration between the OEM and its suppliers. The company needed a better way to exchange design data, including parts, BOMs, CAD files, and documents, while supporting PLM and change management processes and synchronizing BOMs. Its existing solution had usability and data integrity issues, did not support supplier data transfer, and only allowed one-way transfer of parts data and documents.

Persistent Systems implemented a web-based UI powered by Dassault’s 3DExperience platform to extract supplier and OEM data, support both automatic and on-demand transfers, and provide a user-friendly BOM compare and reconciliation workflow. The solution enabled one-step transfer of parts and documents together and created a framework for expanding BOM analysis with minimal customization. As a result, Persistent Systems helped Global Aerospace Manufacturer reduce data exchange time and errors, improve quality, and accelerate time to market while lowering costs.
