A Persistent Systems Case Study
Knust-Godwin, a US-based precision parts manufacturer serving oil and gas, aerospace, medical, and other industries, wanted to better educate customers on how subtractive and additive manufacturing could transform operations. The company turned to Persistent Systems’ implementation of Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform, including ENOVIA and SIMULIA, to help customers understand and design for additive manufacturing.
With Persistent Systems’ support, Knust-Godwin used the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to simulate parts before printing, predict distortion and build failures, and improve collaboration across its engineering team. The results were significant: product development and lead times dropped from two years to eight months, a 67% reduction, and post-machining steps were cut from 12 to just two.
