Persistent helps Ittiam redefine the power of communication with Google Cloud

The customer, Ittiam Systems, a global technology company specializing in digital media solutions, wanted to create a social media application to foster real-time, interactive group conversations around shared content. Their challenge was to build a secure, highly available platform that moved beyond passive messaging to enable active collaboration, bringing users together as if they were in the same room. They partnered with vendor Persistent Systems to develop this solution on the Google Cloud Platform.

Persistent Systems developed the Tribeway application, which integrated social networking and messaging to allow real-time discussions over pictures and videos within personal groups called "tribes." The solution, built on Google Cloud, was scalable, reliable, and enabled features like HD voice calls and organized conversation threads. The result was a successfully deployed service that facilitated smooth, real-time interaction for over 10 people in a tribe, though the application is noted as currently being off air.
