A Persistent Systems Case Study
Persistent Systems helped News America Marketing Company, a US-based shopper media and marketing firm, address the lack of a formal analytics and reporting platform for more than 10 years of historical operational data. NAM needed a modern data warehouse and business analytics environment to support profitability analysis, near real-time reporting, KPI tracking, and better decision-making across strategy, sales, operations, and field execution.
Persistent Systems implemented a centralized AWS-based data warehouse solution using Oracle, Informatica, Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, Amazon EC2, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Bash, AWS CLI, Python, and NewRelic. The team built an automated Oracle -> Informatica -> S3 -> Redshift ETL pipeline with data reconciliation, Tableau dashboard refreshes, and automated maintenance tasks. As a result, NAM gained a single source of truth for financial data, cut development cycle time by about 3 weeks, saved roughly 50% of team effort through one-click deployments, and achieved 30%–40% time and cost savings through automation.
