Case Study: Leading US Pharmacy cuts IAM costs by 50% with Persistent Systems

Preview of the Leading US Pharmacy Case Study

Leading US Pharmacy reduces cost 50% by streamlining their Identity & Access Management system

Leading US Pharmacy worked with Persistent Systems to address a fragmented identity and access management environment. The pharmacy had multiple proliferated LDAP directories, inconsistent user experiences across technologies, and rising operational overhead and help desk demand. Persistent Systems used its Identity and Access Modernization Framework, UNITY, along with PingDirectory, to help streamline the environment.

Persistent Systems implemented a phased directory consolidation and migration approach: creating a new PingDirectory infrastructure, piloting self-service application onboarding, expanding onboarding across applications, and decommissioning legacy LDAP directories. The result was 50% cost savings, 75% less effort for operations teams, more than 1,000 applications onboarded, 3x faster time to production, and improved centralized authentication and audit tracking.
