Leading Indian Bank improves TAT and reduces cost with state-of-the-art integration architecture

Persistent Systems helped a leading non-banking financial institution in India address integration challenges after a merger left it with many siloed applications across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. The customer needed real-time access to large datasets, better cross-system visibility, and faster collaboration with external partners, while managing complex data exchange across more than 800 branches.

Persistent Systems implemented a state-of-the-art integration architecture connecting 30+ applications and external systems, using a canonical data model aligned to ISO20022 standards, along with Track and Trace monitoring, escrow management, centralized alerts, missed call/SMS banking, and secure host-to-host file exchange. The solution improved developer productivity and data management, reduced implementation and operational costs, and enabled the bank to process 1M transactions and 75K grouped payments in under 15 minutes, supporting over 1M payments per contract per execution window.
